Guardrails, etc., Inc. is a Certified WBE/MBE highway contractor. Established in 1982, we are a second generation privately owned business. We work in Maryland, Washington, D.C., Virginia and Delaware. From estimating and bidding to installation and maintenance, the Guardrails team is the choice of prime contractors and state and local governments to help keep the streets and roads safe for the traveling public. Our proven process, on-time installations and superior workmanship ensure a professional job done to all required specifications. The Guardrails difference is experience.
We work together as a team to create an environment that is safe for all employees. We communicate daily with Crew Huddle talks, weekly Tool Box talks and bi-weekly Safety Committee meetings. We conduct pre-employment, random and post-accident drug and alcohol testing.
Guardrails, etc., Inc. is dedicated to providing a high level of safety and security to all levels of employment. We have a comprehensive training program that provides constant safety awareness among all of our employees.
Our safety training, incentives and dedication to safety have proven to be extremely effective in reducing accidents and injuries and raising the general safety awareness among our company.
Our employees are our greatest asset and we have the best. Many of our employees have been with us for over 15 years, starting as laborers and advancing to foreman and management positions throughout our company. In 2006 Guardrails was one of Maryland’s Top 100 Minority Businesses, and we were presented with the prestigious Bridging the Gap Achievement Award by the Greater Baltimore Committee. In July 2010, Marnie Hoffman purchased the remaining shares of stock in the company from her mother, Sheila Hoffman. In December 2010, Marnie received her Minority Certification with the Maryland Department of Transportation, the Commonwealth of Virginia, the District of Columbia and the State of Delaware. Guardrails is proud of our history and we look forward to many more decades of service in the future.
